I am super excited to announce that we are making the transition with Alabama Power to upgrade all the street lighting to LED lights. This will help brighten up the neighborhood, and will also prevent the number of times lamps go out and need to be replaced by Alabama Power.
That being said, with the street lights being brighter, we are aware that it may bother some owners with lights on their property. Please know that there are options for you if after the light is installed you are bothered by it. These lights are adjustable to some degree, and APCO can also install a type of “shield” on the back side of the light if necessary so that the homeowner is not negatively affected. The lights should be installed within the next 8-10 weeks.
