The Board is pleased to announce the selection of Neighborhood Management, LLC, to continue serving as our property manager for Brook Highland Homeowners Association. Earlier this year the Board set out to ensure that our HOA was receiving the best services available for our community. We engaged a team of residents, solicited proposals and conducted interviews with seven management companies. Through this process we were able to compare services, processes, and cost structures. We found that we were already getting the services we needed yet found a few possible areas for improvement.
Neighborhood Management aggressively sought to retain our business. They lowered their baseline management fee by 11%, adjusted some of their ancillary fees, assigned a new property manager, and have begun improvements in their compliance process and responsiveness. The selection team picked Neighborhood Management in consideration of these factors along with the intangible benefits of retaining ties to our original development and proximity to other managed associations.
During this process, we also learned that our Association needed to establish our own written policy for collections in conjunction with our Management Agreement. The Board has approved a collections policy in accordance with our governance and consistent with our current process. This policy will be provided to you via mail in accordance with our governing documents. This policy and the new Management Agreement will go into effect January 1, 2025.
Thank you for your patience and input regarding this significant task. The Board would also like to thank our selection team for their hard work and assistance. If you have any questions, please let us know at hoa@brookhighland.org.
